Iowa's Mondo Drag is not afraid to note its psychedelic and garage rock affiliations, a telling sign of the group's upfront, unabashed musical style. Sgt. Pepper is all over this band's music; an era of The Beatles that may never be fully mined or exhausted to boredom. Mondo Drag likes to wander a lot more than The Beatles though, and for this, it puts itself into an area of psychedelic rock that is more concerned with the guitar solo's sonic potential. Mondo Drag's debut LP is titled New Rituals.
