Tokyo's Moja consists of drums and guitar only, despite the fact the group describes itself as making dance music. All genre associations aside though, Moja make absolutely relentless music that moves the group into dance punk territory without the use electronics or synthesizers--staples of many dance punk bands' arsenals. Moja has penetrated both Europe and the United States with its unique sound, even with songs sung in Japanese.
