Michael 5000 Watts is a DJ, radio host and founder of the record label Swishahouse. Michael 5000 Watts is known for his use of DJ Screw's revolutionary "chopped & screwed" technique, which involves slowing down popular hip-hop and R&B records. Though there was considerable tension surrounding Watts' decision to use Screw's technique, many considering him a cheap copy of Screw - who died of a drug overdose - Watts does a popular weekly Sunday radio show on Houston's 97.9 where he debuts his latest chopped & screwed versions of chart hits.
