Living legend Cliff Richard has been at the forefront of the British music scene since rock n' roll hit the charts in the late 1950s. As one of the first (if not the first) rock n' roll performers in the UK, English music sensation Richard was the first rock star to be knighted. Richard and his backup band, The Shadows, have sold 250 million records throughout their careers. The band's music has gone through phases (with good reason, as they've been producing for fifty years) from softer rock that leans almost toward gospel, to the more classic, harder rock that Cliff Richard & The Shadows are known and loved for.
