From Charlotte, North Carolina is Matrimony, a five-piece that formed in late 2009. Members Jimmy Brown and Ashlee Hardee were once part of Airspace and Flagship respectively before starting Matrimony. All members of the band say they came together out of yearning to write and perform songs that matter to them, which is evident in songs like "Flee or Flight" or "One Last Dance." Matrimony's blend of indie rock and folk music sensibilities with catchy hooks definitely strike a chord with fans.
