Originally born and raised in France, Marianne Dissard came to America in her adolescent years and planted some roots in Tuscon, Arizona. There are many different mediums of art that Dissard chooses to focus on: poetry, film, performance art, and of course, music. Her 2008 debut album, L'Entredeux, was produced and composed by Joey Burns of Calexico, which they together referred to as a kind of French-Western mish-mash style. Whichever way it could or should be classified, however, the vibe to Dissard's music is no doubt lush and poppy.
