Big booming choruses and melodies are the hallmark of the Chicago-based alternative rock outfit Makeshift Prodigy. In 2008, the quartet released its debut LP, Welcome to the World. Prominence of the piano of many of the group's songs is a very key element to the band's 2010 Mathematica. Whether through those booming choruses, laidback melodies, or soulful lyrics, or any combination thereof, Makeshift Prodigy is a musical outfit that insists on creating the type of music that uplifts.
