Founded in 1963 by Willam Christensen, Ballet West has given birth to great talents like Bart Cook, Tomm Ruud, Finis Jhung and Richard Tanner. Along with being Salt Lake City's premier ballet company, it is also one of the nation's topmost successful companies where ballet is concerned. It grooms hundreds of dancers every year producing the country's finest dancers. The ballet company's repertoire includes classic pieces like The Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and The Sleeping Beauty along with most recent works by the likes of Twyla Tharp, Mark Morris, Stanton Welch and Ulysses Dove.
