Colorado Ballet is a 31-member professional ballet company, a dance academy and a studio company based in Denver, CO. It performs ballet and contemporary dance pieces mainly at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House and once a year at the Robert and Judi Newman Center for Performing Arts. The acclaimed company has classics such as The Nutcracker, which it has been performing since 1961, Afternoon of a Faun, Apollo, Cinderella, Concerto Barocco, Don Quixote and more in its repertoire. It was the recipient of the 2009 Colorado Masterpieces Award and toured Colorado as a part of the American Masterpieces: Three Centuries of Artistic Genius initiative.
