By blending various elements from the alternative county, rockabilly and modern rock genres, the Austin, Texas-based band Li'l Cap'n Travis has been cranking out a characteristic style of music since the group released its eponymous debut EP in 2002. Though the group has never achieved massive mainstream success, Li'l Cap'n Travis has a fairly respectable base of fans in its native Texas and is known as a band that will never disappoint audiences with lackluster live shows.
