Michael Lee is a native of Los Angeles who creates hazy electropop under his Letting Up Despite Great Faults guise. By incorporating highly-altered guitar tones and phased vocals into rhythmic computer compositions, Lee crafts songs that have a distinctive personal and humanistic touch--a rare find in much of today's electronic music. Letting Up Despite Great Faults released its eponymous debut LP in 2009, which helped establish Lee as a musician who's willing to experiment with his sound in attempts to distinguish himself from the myriad of other singer/songwriters in Los Angeles.
