About
Carolina Thunderbirds is an ice hockey team that is a competitor in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. It was formed in 2016 and plays its home fixtures at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Annex. The team has a Regular Season Championship and a Playoff Championship win to its credit and both these honors were achieved in the 2018-19 season. Notable alumni include Josh Pietrantonio, Mike Baker and Christian Pavlas.
