Prabhdeep Singh, widely known as Prabh Deep, is an Indian rapper, songwriter, and music producer. Born in the West Delhi suburb of Tilak Nagar, his upbringing in a Sikh family was marked by the trauma of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, which deeply affected his father. Despite facing financial difficulties, Prabh Deep pursued his passion for music, dropping out of school and joining Delhi’s burgeoning hip-hop scene. He began as a b-boy dancer before transitioning to rapping, eventually gaining recognition with his debut album Class-Sikh in 2017. His raw lyrics explore themes of street life, systemic issues in India, and personal experiences. Over the years, Prabh Deep has released several albums, including Tabia (2021) and Bhram (2022), and has also contributed to Bollywood soundtracks like Manmarziyaan. His innovative music, blending Punjabi, Hindi, and English, has made him a leading voice in Indian hip-hop.
