Church Basement Ladies is an immensely-popular musical by Jim Stowell and Jessica Zuehlke. Based on the book Growing Up Lutheran, the theatrical piece tells the story of the women who work in the basement of a church. These efficient cooks handle numerous church functions while dealing with numerous problems and send across the positive message of being resilient in the face of crises. The musical was first produced in 2005 at the Plymouth Playhouse in Plymouth, MN and made its West Coast debut in 2009.
