Sumukhi Suresh has grown to become one of the biggest stars of the Indian stand-up comedy scene since her foray into the field in 2013. A native of Nagpur, she joined an improv comedy show while working in Bengaluru. She eventually quit to pursue a full-time career in comedy. She worked in multiple sketches with fellow artists like Varun Agrawal and Sanjay Manaktala before gaining popularity as 'Sumukhi Chawla' in the YouTube series Better Life Foundation. She subsequently launched her own video series Behti Naak and worked with Amazon Prime, India on the web series Pushpavalli and Don't Tell Amma. In 2018, she joined Abish Mathew as the host of the first season of the Indian stand-up comedy competition Comicstaan and acted in the Kannada film Humble Politician Nograj. The following year, she returned to Comicstaan for season two as a judge alongside Biswa Kalyan Rath, Kanan Gill, Kenny Sebastian and Zakir Khan.
