Of Samoan descent and hailing from New Zealand, King Kapisi is one of the biggest stars in kiwi hip hop. Kapisi has brought his decidedly old school take on hip hop to stages all over the world--performing alongside an eclectic assortment of artists from the Beastie Boys and the Black Eyed Peas to Moby and Janet Jackson. Kapisi's rhymes are always politically aware and are often about issues related to his own identity as a Pacific Islander.
