Kabul Dreams

Kabul Dreams has the distinction of being Afghanistan's first rock band. The trio lived in different countries outside of Afghanistan during the Taliban era but returned after the regime was toppled. Since all three members of the band originally hail from different countries and grew up speaking different languages, they decided to sing all of their songs in English. The band plays an angular brand of indie rock that owes a lot to the Smiths' but adds their own spikey, dance-punk sensibility.
