Texas band John David Kent and the Dumb Angels is an alternative rock and country band that sings about requisite country rock subjects (cars, guns, beer, women, cowboy hats), but has managed to find a home in the indie alt-rock world. Kent's band has opened for the likes of My Morning Jacket, Ben Kweller as well as Kings of Leon and the group's debut album was released in May of 2011.
