International Waters is a twee band from Austin, Texas that has been gradually pushing themselves out of obscurity since forming in 2008. The key word the band uses to describe their sound is "jangly," and indeed, that is how their music sounds. However, the band adds a touch of the sinister to keeps things interesting--attempting, and often times succeeding at setting itself apart from other bands who situate themselves within the oft-derided genre.
