Neşecan Göktürk, known as Neşe Karaböcek, was born on April 1, 1947, and is a prominent Turkish singer and actress, celebrated as a pioneer of Turkish Arabesque music. Her fusion of traditional Turkish sounds with global music influences earned her widespread popularity from her first hit single "Artık Sevmeyeceğim" in the 1960s through the 1990s. Karaböcek received multiple gold and platinum certifications and starred in several films, becoming a cultural icon. She married musician Atilla Alpsakarya, with whom she had a son, Alper, before divorcing in 1974. She later married journalist Tevfik Yener, with whom she had a second son, Hasan. Her discography includes hits like Beddua and Deli Gibi Sevdim. Neşe Karaböcek is also the sister of fellow singer Gülden Karaböcek.
