I Was Totally Destroying It (IWTDI), is a powerpop quintet from Chapel Hill, North Carolina that self-released their first full-length album in 2007, followed by a tour across the US shortly thereafter. The band has been praised for the strong family dynamic that exists between the band members, as well as for their ability to perfectly emulate the moods of the songs they perform. IWTDI has seen reward and recognition for their songs, some of which have made The Independent Weekly's "Best Songs of the Year" for three consecutive years beginning in 2007.
