The five members of the metal outfit Hull met while playing in separate bands in the local New York hard rock scene. The group features three guitar players and in 2009 Hull released Sole Lord, a record that got the quintet a fair amount of press in America's top metal magazines. Hull switches it up between sludgy finger-tapping melodic heaviness and full on trashing metalcore, with tempos that make listeners feel like the beat is going faster than a thousand miles per hour through their eardrums.
