The New York rapper Hoodie Allen describes himself as a college educated rap nerd. The University of Pennsylvania graduate spits rhymes about Bernie Madoff and samples artists like Death Cab For Cutie and English popsters Marina & The Diamonds. Allen teamed up with his college friend to help him produce his 2010 debut Pep Rally, after he landed success with his initial single "You Are Not A Robot."
