From Alabama, MCs ST 2 Lettaz and Yung Clova began rapping together in 1999. Their bass intensive music and sharp lyrics have led a new generation of Southern rap. The combination of ST 2 Lettaz cool and lyric delivery and Yung Clova's hard hitting style caught the attention of Slow Motion Soundz, and G-Side released it's first album, Sumthin 2 hate, in 2007. The duo released it's fifth album, Island, on September 11, 2011, the date (11/11/11) an example of the duos optimism despite their poverty shadowed youths.
