Grayceon

Sharing members with Giant Squid and Amber Asylum, Grayceon is a three-piece instrumental metal band based out of San Francsico. Much like fellow Bay Area metalheads Judgement Day, Grayceon's sonic aesthetic is led by Jackie Perez Gratz's cello. While a metal band fronted by a cellist may seem strange, doubts are instantly assuaged at first listen. The band draws inspiration from the classical/operatic portion of the metal cannon, meaning that epic songs resemble classical sonatas more closely than they do anything by bands that douse themselves in fake blood and pentagram warship.
