Lou Nanli is an electronic music maverick and multimedia artist who began producing music as B6 in 1999 when he was still a teenager. In 2000, he founded Isolation Music, an independent record label that produced music for a number of underground Chinese artists. Apart from producing music and visual art for other alternative acts, B6 also released his own original compositions, including techno, industrial noise, IDM and experimental pieces. He is also a well-respected multimedia artist whose work has been exhibited at galleries across the world. Co-founder of the Antidote parties, and the arts and culture website Neocha.com, Lou Nanli is considered a pioneer in the field of experimental art and electronic music in China.
