Goldenboy

Goldenboy started as a creative outlet for the original songs of Shon Sullivan, whose main gig at the time was playing guitar, piano and/or cello in the band of indie-folk troubadour Elliot Smith. After Smith's passing in 2003, Sullivan took Goldenboy full time. Goldenboy's music, a wistful, lushly orchestrated and beautifully executed brand of indie-folk retains a least a strand or two of Sullivan's former bandleader's DNA. Sullivan's music got him noticed almost instantly and Goldenboy has since toured with indie heavyweights like Bright Eyes, Neil Finn, Stephen Malkmus and Grandaddy.
