With his roots in Palm Desert, California, American musician Brant Bjork is himself partially responsible for pioneering the stoner rock movement. His album, "Blue For The Red Sun", with his high school band, Kyuss, spurred this psychedelic-blues rock movement. As a guitarist, drummer and singer, Bjork produces a bass-heavy, retro sound that characterizes desert rock.
