After putting her much-loved band The Hush Sound on permanent hiatus in 2008, singer-songwriter Greta Morgan moved to Southern California and soaked up SoCal's sunny musical vibes. The resulting songs she produced eventually became the basis for her new band, Gold Motel. Gold Motel's music is bright, happy surf pop that manages to be wistfully nostalgic without being hazy or obtuse.
