Grupo Sombras, founded in Argentina, is a renowned Cumbia Norteña band celebrated for its emotive performances and versatile music. They gained prominence in the early 1990s with their hit album Dulce Amor (1991) and continued to captivate audiences with albums like Boquita de Caramelo (1995) and Niña Caprichosa (1994). Known for their energetic cumbia and romantic ballads, Grupo Sombras has released a series of influential albums including Sombras, Nada Más (1997) and La Mala Gata (2002). Their music features a blend of cumbia with traditional and modern influences, showcasing tracks such as “El Perfume de Tu Piel” and “Pega La Vuelta.” They have continued to evolve, with recent releases like Impermanencia (2023) and Ocaso (2018).
