Giant Cloud

Giant Cloud is a psychedelic folk-rock band from New Orleans. The band takes baroque, chamber-pop instrumentation and puts it behind pleasant boy/girl harmonies that would border on twee if the arrangements didn't have their fair share of bite to them. Originally from Ruston, Louisiana, which was also the hometown of Neutral Milk Hotel and Olivia Tremor Control, Giant Cloud clearly uses those indie giants as touchstones--especially for their occasional trips into psychedelia.
