When the Japanese pop-punk band Geeks was looking for a name, they noticed that Americans always said "cool" when something was good and they decided to name their band after something that wouldn't necessarily be associated with the term. However, this isn't to imply that Geeks' music is difficult or off-putting, quite the contrary--the band thrives in making engagingly poppy punk rock that's likely to make even the biggest cynic crack a smile and start to pogo.
