In 1977, an eccentric young musician retreated to his parents suburban basement to create a gonzo masterpiece of avant-garde white-boy funk and uncomfortably emotional lyrical directness. The self-released album found a few devoted fans before fading, along with its creator, Gary Wilson, into a 25 year period of obscurity. Gradually, Wilson's work began to develop a cult following--even earning a shout out on Beck's hit single "Where It's At". Due to renewed interest in his work, Wilson has once again started recording and touring with material that seems like 25 days have past rather then 25 years.
