Whereas most post-rock bands are content to simply send guitar squalls out into the endless distance, the Welsh quartet Gallops bases its instrumental fury in virtuosic prog-rock and angular post-punk. The result is a technically complex, relentlessly experimental swirl that constantly ping-pongs between engagingly weird dance music and disorientating, weird psychedelia. Gallops' released its debut self-titled EP in 2010.
