Blood Red Shoes is a British rock duo that heavily draws inspiration from underground punk and rock bands. Formed in 2004 by Steven Ansell and Laura-Mary Carter, the band projects a punk ethic onto an alternative rock sound that came into being from an impromptu jam session. After releasing its debut album Box of Secrets in 2008, the band embarked on a world tour that brought it to over a dozen different countries. Blood Red Shoes has since maintained a consistent touring schedule, but has mastered the art of writing while on the road, resulting in its 2001 album Fire Like This and its 2012 record, In Time to Voices.
