Dreamend

Dreamend is the Chicago-based bedroom project of Black Moth Super Rainbow bassist/guitarist, Ryan Graveface. It's a far cry from the vocoder and analog synth-ridden pop of his main outfit, however. With Dreamend, Graveface attempts to marry disparate influences, such as bluegrass and indie rock, into a hazy shoegaze-y mesh. Folky banjo plucks and mellow songwriting slowly morph into compact exercises in dreamy noise and guitar textures, making Dreamend's music simultaneously adventurous and accessible. Though Graveface's project has existed since 2002, the recent success of Black Moth Super Rainbow has ensured his music of another look from fans looking to dive deeper into the band's prior history.
