Six Degrees of Separation

Written by playwright John Guare in 1990, Six Degrees of Separation popularized the concept that we are all separated through the relationships of six people or less. In the dramatic play, we follow gay con-artist Paul, as he travels to New York and manipulates people to his advantage, in one case claiming he is friends with a couple's children and in another claiming that he is recovering from abuse by his racist father. Violence and tragedy pervade this drama.
