DaPuntoBeat is a funk and rock-influenced electropop band from Mexico City. The six-piece formed in 2002 and its dance-friendly music has led to its inclusion in several music festivals in Mexico, the United States and Western Europe. DaPuntoBeat combines live instrumentation with prevalent synthesizers and a steady electronic pulse. The rubbery bass lines and tight drumming of classic funk can regularly be found in the band's music, as can modern electro touches and bizarre, often glitchy vocal work.
