Classic metal-heads who don't want to get caught up in sub-genres need look no further than Death Angel. This band is first and foremost a no-nonsense metal outfit. Originating in the Bay Area's 1980s thrash-metal scene along with Metallica and Exodus, San Francisco's Death Angel has soldiered on for over twenty years. The band's recent material at times slows the breakneck pace they are known for, but never enough to dissociate it from its roots.
