Yaşar Kurt

Arşak Yaşar Kurt is a Turkish-Armenian rock artist known for his unique blend of alternative and rock music. He founded the band Beyaz Yunus and released his debut album, Sokak Şarkıları in 1994, which gained popularity in Turkey. Following his musical career in Germany, he moved to Berlin and had a daughter, Rosa, before returning to Turkey in 1996. Over the years, Kurt released several albums, including Göndermeler (1997), Refleks (2002), and Anne (2003). In 2007, he formed the duo Yaş-Ar with Arto Tunçboyacıyan, combining their Armenian roots. He embraced his Armenian heritage, converting to the Armenian Apostolic faith and adopting the name Arşak. Known for his activism, he co-founded Barışarock, a major rock event in Turkey. His 2011 album Güneş Kokusu featured the hit single "Ver Bana Düşlerimi."
