The All Mighty Senators

Based out of Baltimore, the All Mighty Senators is an alternative rock band with heavy funk and soul influences. The band formed in 1988 and developed a local following due to its rowdy live shows and tendency to touch on several styles of music in its songs. The punk rock borrowing form of funk that the Red Hot Chili Peppers would later become known for lays the foundation for the All Mighty Senators' songs, while horn blasts, percussion breakdowns and the occasional foray into hip-hop add to the eclectic nature of the band's music. In 2006, the group released Checkered Past, New Tomorrow, a greatest hits collection from its first two decades.
