Avevo Un Bel Pallone Rosso (I Had a Beautiful Red Balloon in English) is an award-winning play by Italian playwright Angela Dematté and is one of Italy's premier examples of contemporary stage drama. The play is performed through a series of dialogues between a father and daughter between 1965-1975, honing in on the conflicting political consciousness the daughter begins to take on during an especially critical moment of socio-economic upheaval in contemporary Italian history.
