Baltimore singer, dancer and producer Rye Rye had her first claim to fame with the track "Shake It to the Ground," produced by Baltimore-based Blaqstarr. The track is now a touchstone for Baltimore club music, a version of house music that stemmed from ghetto house and hip-hop breaks. Rye Rye has gone on to work with singer M.I.A., even touring as one of her primary dancers earlier in her career. Rye Rye is signed to M.I.A.'s record label N.E.E.T. Records and her debut album Go! Pop! Bang! was released in 2011.
