Childhood friends Arno and Julien began writing songs to emulate their favorite American grunge bands early on in life. The two friends started scouring the local Parisian music scene of peers and recruited two members to form a rhythm section for a band. In 2008 they decided to call themselves Black Candy Store and a year later released their debut Back to the Wall. Despite its French origin, Black Candy Store writes songs in English in hopes that its loud rock n' roll will appeal to a wider audience.
