Madhu Balakrishnan (born June 24, 1974) is a renowned Indian playback singer, primarily known for his work in Malayalam cinema but also active in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada music industries. With over 10,000 songs to his credit, he has made a significant impact in both film and devotional music. Born in Paravur, Ernakulam, Kerala, Madhu was inspired by his mother to pursue music and later became widely recognized for his melodious voice. He is married to Divya, the sister of Indian cricketer S. Sreesanth. Over his career, he has won several accolades, including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Singer in 2002 for the song "Amme Amme" from Valkannadi. He has also been honored with the Tamil Nadu State Film Award, the prestigious Kalaimamani Award, and an honorary doctorate from The International Tamil University, USA, in 2017. His extensive discography includes iconic songs across multiple languages, making him a celebrated figure in Indian music.
