Dressed in a black suit just like the real guy, David Pittett sings with his band Big River - A Tribute to Johnny Cash in a natural baritone to fans all across British Columbia. The group even imitates the Man in Black's banter in-between songs, with one major alteration to the famous line "Hello I'm almost Johnny Cash" when it starts out "Folsom Prison Blues," one of the songs that lit Cash's career on fire. Pittett first discovered his talent for mimicking Cash's voice by accident. He was playing a cover of "Ring of Fire" and when the song was over the crowd at the bar went bonkers with praise. From that moment on he began assembling a band of local all-star musicians to recreate the Tennessee Three.
