Die Biene Maja is a stage adaptation of the popular children's book and cartoon Maya the Bee. The book was written by Waldemar Bonsels and was first published in 1912. Since then it has been translated into many languages and has become one of the most well known European children's stories ever told. The live production of Maya the Bee features actors and actresses as characters in wacky costumes. All the backdrops and sets are meant to mimic the illustrations from the book as much as possible. This particular show will most likely be enjoyed by infants.
