Despite being largely ignored by the United States, the flowering Latin hip-hop scene has been growing by leaps and bounds--even incorporating elements of electronic, reggae and bossa nova into its music. One of the more interesting acts to emerge from this evolving genre is the Puerto Rican act Calle 13. The group was formed in the mid 2000s and has achieved international success for its originality and unique take on hip hop.
