The Bremer Shakespeare Company is a German acting troupe that focuses on performing the works of English playwright William Shakespeare in the German language. Founded in 1983, the Bremer Shakespeare Company (also known simply as the BSC) has grown to become one of Germany's premier Shakespeare companies, with performances at venues, festivals and theater competitions throughout the world. The BSC has over 40 performances under its belt and was even given an opportunity to perform for a full house at London's famed Globe Theatre - the theater originally erected by Shakespeare's own company in 1599.
