About
The Asylum Street Spankers is a musical comedy group from Texas. The band first came together in 1994 and has been creating old-time acoustic songs with funny lyrics ever since. All seven members are singers, actors and multi-instrumentalists who can play banjo, ukulele, washboard, musical saw and other acoustic instruments. On stage, the Asylum Street Spankers do costume and set changes to fit the various themes of its songs. The Asylum Street Spankers released its debut record Spanks For The Memories in 1996.
